Abstract:

The article offers the analysis of the young woman`s agony in Nadezhda Surovtsova`s novel called "Vesna!" (From the "Po Tu Storonu" cycle) - "Spring" (From the "Beyond cycle") (1927) which has not become the object of interpretation so far. It has been published in "Vaplite", the literary and art journal, belonged to the men`s union-eponym, created by Mykola Khvylyovy, a passionate ideologist and creator of elite literature in Ukraine in the 1920s. ; It is executed in the aspect of deconstructive re-reading of the feminist tradition, carried out by Julia Kristeva and Miglena Nikolchina, who have worked out the reaction to Sigmund Freud`s psychoanalysis and women`s filiation. Thus, Amazon (Khvylyovy`s "Amazonyan") as an object of identification doomed at a tuberculosis dispensary far from home is a result of an event from the author`s personal life in which she is a graceful rider in the Linda Leonhard style, and feminist ideas of the interwar period, asserting not only the gender equality, but that difference between the sexes as well, discovered due to deviation/klinamen considering the linear ideas about Amazon/non-Aamazon. ; She is trying not only to escape from death to her mother, not only to restore the homogenous unity with her but also slipping out of the sphere of an aporetic non/Amazon definition.
