Głównym obszarem przemyśleń zawartych w niniejszym artykule jest problematyka pracy socjalnej z rodziną, którą autorka prezentuje z perspektywy zyskującej w ostatnich latach na popularności koncepcji opartej na mocnych stronach (strength ? based social work practice). ; W myśl jej założeń pomyślna interwencja w rodzinie zależy nie tylko od zakresu występujących w niej potrzeb i problemów czy umiejętności pracownika socjalnego, lecz przede wszystkim od sił tkwiących w rodzinie i jej odporności na trudne sytuacje życiowe. Istotna jest koncentracja na zasobach, które mogą stanowić punkt oparcia w pokonywaniu bieżących trudności. ; Wymaga to zmiany perspektywy opierającej się na deficytach, postrzegającej ludzi wyłącznie przez pryzmat ich dysfunkcji na perspektywę możliwości. Autorka analizuje kluczowe cechy tego podejścia, omawia wybrane badania empiryczne prowadzone w tym obszarze praktyki.
Abstract:
The main area of reflection concerning this article is the issue of social work with family, which the author presents from the popular in recent years perspective based on strengths (strength - based social work practice). ; According to its assumptions successful intervention in the family depends not only on the scope of the needs and problems it has or the skills of the social worker, but above all on the forces inherent in the family and its resistance to difficult life situations. It is important to focus on resources that can be a point of support in overcoming current difficulties. ; This requires a change in perspective based on deficits, perceiving people exclusively through the prism of their dysfunction on the perspective of possibilities. The author analyses the key features of this approach, discusses selected empirical research conducted in this area of practice.
