Streszczenie:Rozwój nowych technologii stanowi nieodłączną część życia codziennego. Obecnie można stwierdzić, iż żyjemy w świecie cyfrowym, algorytmicznym, w świecie wręcz przesiąkniętym matematycznością życia społecznego. Celem artykułu jest scharakteryzowanie roli algorytmów w społeczeństwie cyfrowym na przykładzie botów społecznych oraz ich odbiór, opierając się na wynikach badania własnego, które zostało przeprowadzone techniką CAWI na kwotowej próbie użytkowników panelu internetowego. ; Autor, na podstawie wyników badania, charakteryzuje m.in. wiedzę internautów na temat botów społecznych oraz ich postrzeganie w kategoriach użyteczności w życiu codziennym oraz szans i zagrożeń, które są związane z ich występowaniem.
Abstract:The development of new technologies is an integral part of everyday life. Nowadays it can be said that we live in a digital, algorithmic world, the world almost saturated with mathematics of social life. The aim of the article is to characterise the role of algorithms in the digital society on the example of social bots and their reception based on the results of a self-reported survey, which was conducted using the CAWI technique on a sample of the Internet panel users. ; Based on the results of the survey, the author characterises, in particular, the knowledge of the Internet users about social bots and their perception in terms of their usefulness in everyday life as well as the opportunities and threats that are associated with their existence.
