<dc:description xml:lang="pl"><![CDATA[The aim of the research work was to evaluate the mechanical and electrochemical properties and the behaviour "in vitro" of the anodic surface layer on the Ti6Al4V ELI alloy, deformed by bending. The evaluation is based on the changes of surface bioactivity and protective properties in the maximum plastic strains zone. In the investigation the specimens of 6mm in diameter were used, which were anodized in H3PO4 solution according to the patent PL 185176. Bending was performed by analogy with intra-surgical procedures applied during shaping of implant rods. The deformed surface layers were characterized by a surface roughness and microhardness]]></dc:description>
<dc:description xml:lang="pl"><![CDATA[Changes of the electrochemical properties were evaluated on the basis of the measurement of the corrosion potential values, polarization characteristics and by the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Protective properties of the anodic layer were tested in Ringer's solution, whereas bioactivity "in vitro" was estimated after immersing in simulated body fluid (SBF) and in contact with human osteoblasts. The microscopic observation (SEM), the microanalysis of elements (EDS) and the phase analysis (FT-IR, XRD) were used to evaluate an effect of the deformation on coating of the surface layer with SBF solution component deposits.]]></dc:description>
<dc:description xml:lang="pl"><![CDATA[Deformation of anodic surface layer on implant titanium alloy induces the increase of bioactivity "in vitro", manifesting itself in increased quantity of settled osteoblasts and in coating of deformed area by SBF components, which stimulate faster growth of bone tissue and accelerate the healing process with required consolidation.]]></dc:description>
