<dc:description xml:lang="pl"><![CDATA[The main goal of the work is the modelling and numerical simulation of fibre-composite plates in the nonlinear range due to large displacements and damage. Two finite element models are presented for prediction and description of the failure progression. The first (2-D) model is based upon the stress failure criteria and material modification in the material point with failure. The model leads to good results for the simulation of intralaminar failure but is not sufficient for the modelling of the complete state of failure.]]></dc:description>
<dc:description xml:lang="pl"><![CDATA[Especially in the composite structures can occur the interlaminar failure is usually called delamination. To study the problem the complicated 3-D-stress state has to be taken into consideration. The laminated structure is modelled by a solid-shell finite element. The utilized solid-shell finite element based upon a three-dimensional continuum mechanics formulation is defined.]]></dc:description>
<dc:description xml:lang="pl"><![CDATA[The pure displacement finite element is improved by the locking avoiding methods: ANS and EAS. The element is efficient for the nonlinear analysis of thin structures. The mechanical modelling of delamination onset and propagation is based upon a cohesive zone. The onset of delamination is predicted by the stress-based Hashin criterion. The condition of delamination propagation is based on a critical energy release rate.]]></dc:description>
