<dc:description xml:lang="pl"><![CDATA[In Polish Renaissance renderings of the New Testament (of the Catholic or Protestant tradition irrespectively) three translational techniques were applied. All of them were aimed at a possibly appropriate substitution of the Greek [a tutor i. e. a guide and guardian of boys] or his Latin equivalent "paedagogus". These are: 1. adaptation of the alien to the Polish culture, i. e. "mistrz", "nauczyciel", "piastun", "uczyciel", "wodz" and phrases "dziecinny uczyciel", "nauczyciel dziecinny"; 2. translation of the etymological sense of the Greek lexeme, i. e. "dzieciowodz", "dziecinny wodz", "dzieciński wodz", "wodz"; 3. transcription of the Greek [a tutor i. e. a guide and guardian of boys] or Latin "paedagogus", i. e. "pedagog". However none of these translational techniques did not provide to render explicitly semantics of the metaphorical images created by Paul in 1Cor 4,15 and Gal 3,24.25.]]></dc:description>
