Determination of the chemical composition and mineral constitution of the wastes, is the base of forecasting of the wastes impact on the ground-water environment. The subject of thestudies conductedby the authorsweresludges, produced during wet scrubbingof the waste gases of shaft furnace.]]></dc:description>
<dc:description xml:lang="en"><![CDATA[On the basis of the studies, was found that the main phases of the sludges PSP are: lead sulphide, zinc sulphide, nonstoichiometriciron sulfides, lead oxide, chalcopyriteandzinc oxide. In all identified phases, the accompanying elements:Si, Fe, Cd, As, Ca, Mn, Sn, In, Sb, Te, in different concentrations, were found. Sludges PSP, due to the presence in their phasesof numerous accompanying elements, may be a potential source of ground-water environment pollution.]]></dc:description>
