<dc:description xml:lang="en"><![CDATA[Experiments were done on two freshwater species, Daphnia magna Straus and Dugesia tigrina Girard. The toxic effects on 3 toxic compounds, lead nitrate, lead chloride (mineral substances) and lead acetale (organic compound) were used in the studies of acute intoxication. The sensitivity of two methods, test with cut planarians and test with Daphnia magna were compared.]]></dc:description>
<dc:description xml:lang="en"><![CDATA[In the experiments with cut individuals, the tested chemical compounds influenced the regeneration process which lasted 10 days, this was the period of special sensitivity of planarians to the poisons. In two cases (mineral substances) the chemicalcompounds were more toxic to D. magna. Based on the classification of Liebmann (1962) the estimates were made of the degree of toxicity of poisons of the 3 tested chemical substances.]]></dc:description>
