The main theme of his literary work is the Eastern Borderlands of the Second Polish Republic - their beauty, cultural richness and tragedy. In his works, the writer expresses nostalgia for the lost Arcadia from his childhood and the trauma caused by the experience of cruelty and crime.}, abstract={The article attempts to show the patterns of poetry used by Stanisław Srokowski in four recently published volumes of poetry: "Ghosts of the Polish Eastern Borderlands" ("Duchy polskich Kresów", 2020), "Silence be quiet! Pain, speak!" ("Ciszo, milcz! Bólu, mów!", 2021), "And I will open yours gardens" ("I otworzę wasze ogrody", 2022) and "Dark Heights of Arcadia" ("Ciemne wzgórza Arkadii", 2023). These models can be broadly defined as follows: I. Poetry stylized as folklore texts. II. Erudite poetry. III. Linguistic poetry. IV. The poetry of "a tight throat".
