Tematyka Tatr i Podhala jest w różny sposób obecna w powieściach kryminalnych. Góry są tłem wydarzeń, nadając koloryt opowieści lub pokazując niebezpieczną stronę nieprzewidywalnej natury. W powieściach detektywistycznych motyw gór wykorzystuje się do konstruowania fabuły - są to miejsca zbrodni, śledztwa i ich wykrycia.

Abstract:

The theme of the Tatra Mountains and Podhale is variously present in detective novels. The mountains are the background of events, giving color to the story or showing a dangerous side of the unpredictable nature in the modernist novel. Literature of the early twentieth century presents Zakopane as a resort where passion is intertwined with death. ; Detective novels use the theme of the mountains to construct plots - it is a scene of crime, its investigation and detection. Often, the authors go back to the Podhale of the Second World War. The unpredictable and dangerous nature of the mountains reflects the personality of the characters.
