Tematem artykułu jest symbolika labiryntu pojawiająca się w powieściach Marka Krajewskiego i Zygmunta Miłoszowskiego. Wraz ze wzrostem popularności powieści kryminalnych wzrosło teoretyczne podejście do tego gatunku. Współcześni praktycy tego gatunku urozmaicają go, dodając nowe elementy. W przypadku autorów omawianych w tym artykule miasto jest na pierwszym planie. ; Dlatego ważne jest, aby rozważyć to miejsce na różnych poziomach. Symbolika labiryntu, betonowej dżungli odzwierciedla tajemnicę, zbrodnię i splot losów bohaterów. Staje się integralnym elementem fabuły, nadając całości specyficznego klimatu. W tym sensie symbol labiryntu jest znaczący - ukazuje powiązania i relacje pomiędzy miejscem a bohaterami powieści kryminalnej. ; W artykule tym zamierzam przyjrzeć się miastom przedstawionym przez wyżej wymienionych autorów i ich wpływowi na fabułę, bohaterów, a także na popularność powieści. Biorąc pod uwagę fenomen Wrocławia i Sandomierza, które dzięki szczegółowym opisom w powieściach stały się symbolami pewnej popkulturowej rzeczywistości, nie można pominąć ich symboliki.
Abstract:
The topic of this article is the symbolism of the labyrinth which appears in Marek Krajewski`s and Zygmunt Miłoszowski`s novels. Along with the growing popularity of crime novels, there has been an increase of theoretical approaches to the genre. Contemporary practitioners of this particular genre diversify it by adding new elements. In the case of the authors who are discussed in this article, the city or town is foregrounded and depicted as a character. ; Therefore, it is important to consider the place on various levels. The symbols of the labyrinth, the concrete jungle, reflects the mystery, crime and the entanglement of the characters. It becomes an integral element of the plot, giving a specific climate to the whole work. In this sense, the labyrinth symbol is significant ? it shows connections and relationships between the place and the characters of the crime novel. ; The description of the place affects various elements of the novel, contributing to the author`s popularity. In this article I am going to investigate cities or towns depicted by the above mentioned authors and their influence on the plot, characters, as well as on the popularity of the novels. Considering the phenomenon of Wrocław and Sandomierz which, thanks to detailed descriptions in the novels, have become symbols of a certain pop cultural reality, one cannot ignore their symbolism.
