Abstract:
The article is dedicated to the identity issue in academic discourses regarding gender. The chosen examples of this kind of discourse represent few thematic fields, as feminism, gender studies, queer studies and men`s studies. ; The authors of analyzed texts apply few language forms and discourse strategies, e.g. grammatically parallel gender forms, emphasizing of individual or private discourse aspects and raising controversial subjects. One can say that the authors of discourses regarding gender break the conventions of academic discourse from grammar level, through style and pragmatics up to cognitive sphere of communication. ; Therefore described identity is a type of identity based on a strong sense of distinguishing characteristic of individual, but it is also an identity uniting in a group of individuals in a feeling of mutual aims fulfillment.
