W czwartej powieści Bolesława Prusa "Faraon" elementy sensacji pojawiają się na niespotykaną dotąd skalę w całej twórczości pisarza. Należy zauważyć, że styl ten odegrał ważną rolę w wielu wcześniejszych pracach Prusa, np. "Przygoda Stasia", "Powiastki cmentarne", "Suknia balowa", "Dusze w niewoli", "Przeklęte szczęście", "Pałac i rudera" , "Placówka", "Lalka". ; Przez sensację rozumiemy nastrój grozy, tajemniczości, niesamowitości, niezwykłości, za pomocą których pisarz przedstawia wydarzenia powieści i które oddziałują na emocje czytelnika. W tym artykule omówimy wszystkie te elementy i postaramy się rozstrzygnąć ich znaczenie, aby znaleźć odpowiedź na pytanie: dlaczego Prus użył tak wielu sensacyjnych motywów w swojej egipskiej powieści?
Abstract:
In "Pharaoh", the fourth novel by Bolesław Prus, the elements of sensation appear on an unprecedented scale in the whole work of the writer. We should notice that this style played an important role in many of Prus's previous works, for example, "Stan's Adventure", "Cemetery Tales", "The Ball Gown", "Souls in Bondage", "Damned Luck", "The Palace and the Hovel", "The Outpost", "The Doll". ; By sensation we mean the mood of terror, mystery, the uncanny, extraordinariness, with the help of which the writer presents the novel's events and which affect the emotions of the reader. In this article we will discuss all these elements and will attempt to figure out their meanings in order to find an answer to the question: Why did Prus use such a score of sensational motifs in his Egyptian novel?
