Abstract:
The modern crime novel, as well as other genres, is looking for new aesthetic options. The classic form of crime fiction seems to be insufficient for the ever-growing demands of customers. What is more, a noticeable crisis in the attractiveness of any literature can be observed. This implies the need to combine multiple genres. ; Contemporary genology is not able to define precisely any genre. A universal access to the media necessitates an introduction of an innovative point of view to literature. An example of the genre which has recently appeared as a response to this tendency is a metaphysical crime novel. The purpose of this article is to outline the problems of literary genology and to indicate ways to solve them.
