PB - Zielona Góra: Oficyna Wydawnicza Uniwersytetu Zielonogórskiego N2 - Silence and light are multi-faceted phenomena. In the "Song of the Hidden God" by Karol Wojtyla and the volume "The person in white" by Czeslaw Sobkowiak they have a special metaphysical significance. The symbolism of these phenomena penetrates Wojtyla`s poem and constitutes its religious meanings. N2 - Sobkowiak`s poetry also fits in this dialogue, under the patronage of Pope John Paul II. In both authors` writing, silence and light become not only the scenery for an encounter between God and man, but also the means of expression of the sacred. How is the inexpressible expressed? How does it affect the divine-human relationship? I try to answer these questions in the article.
