PB - Zielona Góra: Oficyna Wydawnicza Uniwersytetu Zielonogórskiego N2 - On the pages of the novel exotic loanwords were used to create the colour of the epoch and to depict its meaning. The exotic loanwords in "The Fiery Angel" assume the importance of symbols; this effect is achieved by Briusow mainly through dynamics, symbolism and metaphors. In Briusow's novel, within limited space-time continuum, the exotic loanwords become definitely the most important means of artistic expression. N2 - The exotic loanwords are here the means of representing the overall cultural phenomena of the whole medieval world and give the reality described by Briusow the specific colour. In my opinion, it is connected with the fact that Germany, where the story of the work is set, becomes the interest of Briusow first and foremost as a mirror of the Middle Ages with its historical undertone and the contradictions formed at the turn of the centuries. N2 - Unquestionably, the national cultures of the given epoch indicate or at least constitute the phenomenon of the world culture through the processes of mutual influence. Using exotic loanwords in a skillful way undoubtedly enriches Briusow's language adding variety to it, influencing the precision of the message in a positive way.
