TY - GEN A1 - Domke, Radosław A2 - Dolański, Dariusz (1966 - ) - red. PB - Zielona Góra: Oficyna Wydawnicza Uniwersytetu Zielonogórskiego N2 - A significant amount of press articles stresses Poland's geopolitical rights to the western territories. On the one hand, it is being emphasized that the border is more beneficial for us now than during the pre-WWII period and on the other hand, the society is being convinced that the fact that Germany's eastern border is placed on Oder and the Lusatian Neisse has fundamental meaning for the safety of the whole of Europe. A lot of place related to geopolitics and security is being dedicated to Poland's gaining of over 500-kilometer-long Baltic sea-coast. N2 - The western and northern territories have been used in this propaganda as an argument for political cooperation with the USS R. The grist to the mili of geopolitical argumentation and sustaining the Polish-German hostility were the speeches of politicians from the slowly drawing "Iron Curtain". N2 - In the press connected to Polish People's Party it has been emphasized that the standpoint of the Recovered Territories Party had already been established. It has been indicated, that moving Poland's territories west was a historical necessity that determined Poland's future in European politics and was crucial for the strengthening of Polish western borders against the German neighbor. N2 - It is impossible to explicitly estimate the impact that Polish press bad on the shaping of western views by its geopolitical argumentation. However, one might suppose that this role was significant, because of its mass presence in practically all of the newspapers and magazines, regardless of their political leanings.
