 abstract={Ukrainian population relocated in the territory of the Lubusz Land was the target of the intensiva control from the communist safety apparatus. This apparatus had custody of the whole population of the People`s Republic of Poland could not omit the environment involved in tragic events of the previous war, having numerous compatriots behind the "iron curtain" and, what is most important,trying to retain its national identity. Meanwhile, Polish authorities realised consequently the policy of assimilation which led to stabilisation of the Ukrainians in Western and Northern territories and also blended them in a single-ethnic society.},
 abstract={As the archival documents from the Lubusz Landshow, local structures of the Security Service played the significant role in these actions. Their operational work in the 70s of the previous century was organised as part of the affair of the code name "Beta". In practice it included permanent monitoring of the Ukrainian population (which also involved conducting "quasi" sociological surveys), restricting its socio-cultural and religious activity, developing spy network and taking temporary repressions against leaders of this society.},
 abstract={These activities were taken under pretence of liquidating the "harmful nationalistic activity" which hindered the process of the allegedly "natural" assimilation of the Ukrainians. The chronological scope of the article (1970-1980) is basically the same as the decade of ruling of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers` Party, Edward Gierek. The inner censorship here is the year 1975 which indicates the change of territorial division of the country, including the Lubusz region, into two voivodeships: Zielona Góra Voivodeship and Gorzów Voivodeship.},
 abstract={In the first part the author describes the sociallife of the Ukrainians in Lubusz Land scen through the prism of interests of the Security Service. In the following part the main directions of operational activities aimed at Ukrainian minority in the regions of Zielona Góra and Gorzów are presented. The third part of the article which is the review of the most crucial operating affairs, depicts surveillance of contemporary leaders of Ukrainian population. The source bases are the materials gathered in departments of the lnstitute of National Remembrance and, above all, the department in Poznań.},
