The city is shocked by an extremely sophisticated act of murder; the policeimmediately suspects Polish immigrants, who are unpopular in the capital for their brawls, theirpermanent conflicts with the law, political conspiracy and suspicious religious activity. InspectorLang, however, is forced to use the services of a Polish spy, who is involved in the crime.},
 abstract={The Polish-French team of professional and casual detectives are trying to detect the unknowndelinquent, however, their cooperation is far from harmonious. Instead of a quick success, they faceanother mysterious crime. Who is the offender? Is it Juliusz Słowacki? At that time forensics has notdeveloped yet and so the only auxiliary technical means the detectives can use are the first imperfectphotos. Thus, it remains to create a psychological portrait of the delinquent. Inevitably, the readerjoins the team work in the role of an "over-profiler". The aim of the paper is to reconstruct and evaluate the crime plot of Goźliński's novel.},
