 abstract={The nineteenth century witnessed a rapid development of popular fiction. Growing number of nondemanding readers allowed authors to support themselves and gain popularity without old-timepatronage. Therefore, industrial literature ("literature industrielle") flourished, often taking the form ofa serial novel ("roman feuilleton"; "romanzod` appendice"). At the same time a number of similar titles emerged. In total,more than thirty novels of this type were published during forty-five years (1849-1894).},
 abstract={Italian "Misteri" are not widely recognized literature. They were, however, an essential element ofthis culture and are still valid certificate of a dynamic, multifaceted socio-political transformation.Furthermore, although the formal manner of these novels usually does not stand the test of time, thecontent seems to be still valid. And that`s regarding its specifically ludic function (to cause reader`sterror, shock him), as well as the ideological one, sometimes even utopian idealistic significance, lessand less frequently encountered in mass literature.},
