 abstract={The article presents the analysis of psychological approaches to understanding the structure and functioning of individual ethical consciousness. The concepts of moral and ethical consciousness have been specified. The moral consciousness is a form of social consciousness; it is based on a social being and is objective. Ethical consciousness means comprehension of morality by a personality and represents a form of individual consciousness.},
 abstract={The structural elements of moral consciousness have been defined, covering the cognitive, affective and behavioral spheres. It has been revealed that moral consciousness can function at everyday and theoretical levels. The functions of ethical consciousness such as axiological, philosophical, regulatory and goal setting have been highlighted. It has been found that ethical consciousness development is determined by an individual, who is calling in question moral norms and ideas on the basis of a reflection which recognizes his own moral reflecting system and evaluates his own individual actions by categories of good and evil.},
