The test object was open intercepting sewer of Zielona Góra. Methodology for determining the COD fraction was based on the guidelines ATV- A 131.}, abstract={The real concentration of fractions in raw wastewater and the percentage of each fraction in total COD are different from data reported in the literature. The processes occurring in an open interceptor are also influenced by external factors. The most important of them are the ambient temperature and the extent of solar exposure.}, abstract={The changing temperature influences solubility of oxygen and activity of microorganisms. Open space and cascade arrangement of the interceptor decrease the probability of oxygen-free environment.
