Local raw materials were used, i.e. flax and sheep wool, and since the mid-eighteenth century also imported cotton. The outwork system of production had an effect on the growth of interest in the textile manufacture among peasants.}, abstract={Cheap products of country weavers were competitive for guild production, the importance of which decreased systematically. With a slight delay in relation to other Lusatian textile centers, the first centralized manufactories were being organized on the area discussed. Consequently, following the centuries of stagnation innovative technological solutions were being introduced, which enabled to increase efficiency as well as extend the range of products.
