During extraction the most negative consequences are the changes of relief, soil and vegetation degradation and land-use changes. On the other hand, excavation brings also positive changes in post-mining landscape. The aim of the present study was to identify changes occurring at clay mining sites, especially worked-out pits.}, abstract={The analysis of landscape changes was made at some extraction sites in urban or suburban areas in the Wielkopolska Region: Poznań, Kalisz, Jarocin, Krotoszyn, Ostrów Wlkp., Mikstat. Data were taken from topographical maps, aerial photographs and landscape observation in-situ. The study of abandoned small-scale mines showed that after the termination of mining activity the ecosystem may recover spontaneously, if results of excavation have not destroyed the environmental conditions.}, abstract={The natural reclamation of post-mining areas creates a new quality of the landscape. Natural succession very often takes place in them leading to landscape re-naturalization. Some of post-mining areas are protected because the "new" valuable biotopes with rare flora and fauna species is created there. Recent studies showed that the extraction leads to increase of the geo- and biodiversity in heterogeneous landscape.}, type={artykuł}, title={Regeneracja krajobrazu po eksploatacji surowców ilastych ceramiki budowlanej w Wielkopolsce = Reclamation of clay open-cast post-mining areas in the Wielkopolska Region}, keywords={4 Międzynarodowa konferencja "Ochrona i rekultywacja terenów dorzecza Odry: rekultywacja terenów zdegradowanych" (28-29.06.2007), krajobraz poeksploatacyjny, eksploatacja surowców ilastych ceramiki budowlanej, bioróżnorodność, georóżnorodność, rekultywacja, sukcesja, Wielkopolska - historia - 18 w., post-mining landscape, minerals for structural clay products, ex-traction, biodiversity, geodiversity, reclamation, natural succession}, }
