 abstract={The thesis focus on analysis of stability of the slope and the impact of hydro ? insulating materials on such stability on an example of flood banks. The surveys in that issue were carried out on a chosen section of flood banks localized in the middle Odra valley. In first steep there was a safety factor established. It was done using the method of calculating the soil layer that covers the sealing screen in the slope.},
 abstract={Given factor was established for four sectors of the flood banks, each sealed with different methods: PCV foil (geomembrane) placed into body of the flood banks, PCV foil (geomembrane) installed into body of the flood banks complete with protective screen C-LOC putting into subsoil of the flood banks, bentomat (geotextiles) placed in the body of the flood banks and bentomat (geotextiles) placed in the body of the flood banks completed with loam partition set up in the subsoil of the flood banks.},
 abstract={Not surprisingly, into the surveys geometry of the soil layers and the course of the surface slide as well as the parameters of the soil were taken into account. The surveys results indicate that the safety factor was higher in each case than the required minimum. Although he best result was obtained in the section of the flood banks where bentonite mat and silt partitions were installed. The theme plays significant role at project design of flood banks and in consequence in the matter of flood protection.},
