The quaternary underground water accumulated in the above-mentioned regions is of good quality and the hydrologie conditions allow its convenient intake.},
 abstract={The said ice marginal valleys form the international Polish-German underground water reservoir of great economic importance. However, it is more and more exposed to contamination owing to the other already polluted elements of the environment (surface waters, acid rains, etc.). The mutual objective of the neighbouring countries is to provide constans care of the clearness of theunderground waters as well as other components of the environment.},
