The volume is organised around two principal thematic threads: the application of advanced technologies in manufacturing processes, and quality management and sustainable development in industrial practice. The research articles address six subject areas. The first concerns Digital Human Modelling (DHM) and virtual ergonomics as tools supporting ergonomic workplace design and reducing the need for physical prototyping. The second presents the use of the 8D method for identifying and analysing the root causes of product nonconformities in the automotive industry.}, abstract={The third describes a project carried out in collaboration with a manufacturer of agricultural machinery components, focusing on the analysis of a laser sheet-cutting process to improve the OEE indicator. The fourth applies the Ishikawa diagram to analyse nonconformities in the collection and segregation of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). The fifth reports the implementation of a waste heat recovery system from air compressors as a contribution to sustainable industrial energy management. The sixth presents a numerical finite-element model of the Conform continuous extrusion process for copper profiles. The seventh article analyses 95 CSR reports published by Polish enterprises in 2021-2023, examining how occupational health and safety (OHS) issues are addressed. The volume is complemented by records of two discussion panels devoted to the competencies required of production engineers by 2030, and to effective mechanisms for the transfer of technology from academia to industry.}, title={Współpraca nauki i biznesu w inżynierii produkcji.
