 abstract={Provenience research in the Polish libraries has several dozen years long tradition,and they have been carried out with long breaks. Although there appear printed catalogues of old prints and manuscripts, in which the bookplates are recorded, yet this is just the result of work of the librarians processing the library stock or those writing the history of libraries or book collections. The bookplates on the prints from the 19th and 20th century, stocked in big scientific and public libraries have been the least researched on. Provenience research is also required on documents collected in the smaller public libraries that have interesting regional collections.Digital processing of the library stock should also bring the provenience research forward.},
