 abstract={School plays a significant role in shaping patriotic attitudes among children and young people with intellectual disabilities. From an early age, it teaches them to cultivate patriotic attitudes and patterns, to respect the national emblem, flag, and Polish language. The goals of patriotic education include: creating emotional bonds between children and their families and peers, recognizing the value and beauty of nature, preparing children for work and life in society, and above all, developing love and attachment to their homeland, its traditions, and culture.},
 abstract={Patriotic education for students with intellectual disabilities requires the use of a variety of methods adapted to their cognitive and emotional abilities. Activating and practical methods play an important role in this regard, which is reflected in the pedagogical practice undertaken by teachers from the UNICEF Educational Center in Słupsk implementing the "Young Patriots" program. The authors of this study present specific solutions for practical use.},
