Drawing on the theoretical foundations of symbolic interactionism, particularly the works of G.H. Mead and E. Goffman, the author highlights the parallels between these processes, emphasising how role-playing games can be perceived - and potentially employed ? as a platform or tool for enhancing individuals` social skills.}, abstract={The empirical foundation for the analyses presented in the article is rooted in a study conducted at the Correctional Facility in Krzywaniec, where a session of the role-playing game "Tales from the Loop" was carried out. Both players and audience members participating in the study were inmates of the institution. While the article`s conclusions are based on the specific context of a correctional facility, the insights into the parallels between role-playing mechanisms in the imagined worlds of RPGs and the construction of social roles in real life are of universal relevance.}, type={artykuł}, title={Kreowanie ról przez uczestników gier RPG - perspektywa interakcjonizmu symbolicznego = Role creation by RPG players - the symbolic interactionism perspective}, keywords={rola społeczna, kreowanie ról społecznych, aktor społeczny, interakcjonizm symboliczny, gry RPG, gracz, social roles, social role creation, social actor, symbolic interactionism, player}, }
