Material and Methods: The research involved 11,760 schoolchildren (5,680 boys and 6,080 girls) aged 7-18 years, observed from 2015 to 2017 in randomly selected primary and secondary schools in the Lubuskie Voivodeship.}, abstract={Body mass index (BMI) was calculated using anthropometric measurements of height and weight, with values compared to the criteria set by the International Obesity Task Force (Cole et al., 2000, 2007). Additionally, information on the living environment (village, small town, medium-sized city) was collected through a diagnostic survey. The material was subjected to statistical analysis, and the results were compared with data from the 2002-2003 studies and the findings from the project ?V Zdjęcie Antropologiczne Dzieci i Młodzieży Polski? [The 5th Anthropological Photograph of Children and Adolescents in Poland].}, abstract={Results: Based on the standardised BMI index, boys living in medium-sized cities and girls from rural areas exhibit the highest average body weight, with one in four boys (24.93%) and one in eight girls (11.86%) classified as overweight. Obesity was identified in 2.90% of boys and 1.79% of girls. Additionally, 7.11% of the entire student population, which includes 4.07% of boys and 9.95% of girls, falls under the first degree of underweight. The second degree of underweight was recorded among 1.71% of the participants, including 0.90% of boys and 2.47% of girls. Anorexia was identified in 0.67% of boys and 1.25% of girls.}, abstract={Compared to 2002-2003 data, there was a decline in students with normal body proportions and underweight status, while rates of overweight and obesity showed a troubling increase.}, abstract={Conclusions: 1. The size of living environment significantly influences the weight and height proportions of boys and girls aged 7-18 in the Lubuskie Voivodeship. 2. Over the 15-year observation period (2002-2017), both boys and girls exhibited a notable trend towards increased body mass, except for 7-year-old boys. 3. In light of the presented analysis, it is recommended that parents receive education on healthy lifestyles, proper eating habits, and physical activity.}, abstract={It is anticipated that improvements in children`s health and body build will result from the implementation of health-promoting programmes that include free access to sports facilities and the introduction of health education as part of the primary school curriculum.}, type={artykuł}, title={Budowa ciała chłopców i dziewcząt województwa lubuskiego w wieku 7-18 lat.
