 abstract={Since the mid 1970s the Regional Library in Gdańsk has carried out more extensi-ve activities related to regionalism. Among the tasks of the Regional Department isthe creation of a bibliography, initiated by the Gdansk Library of the Polish Aca-demy of Sciences. Volumes of the Bibliography of the Gdańsk Pomerania for theyears 1961-1981 and 1996 were published in print. The next step was the imple-mentation of the PATRON programme in 2007 to create an electronic Bibliography of Gdańsk and Central Pomerania. First, the Regional Library in Gdańsk es-tablished cooperation with the Słupsk City Library, and then, in 2016, with districtlibraries. Material is excerpted from the press, as well as from scientific journals.Changes were made to the descriptions due to the transition of the National Library from subject headings to descriptors in 2017. The new version of PATRON,implemented in 2022, allows faceted searching. The editing of the quarterly jo-urnal Regional News was undertaken in 2014 to supplement the Bibliography ofGdańsk and Central Pomerania. This online periodical has gained considerablepopularity. Information sources related to the Pomeranian region also include thebiobibliographical Dictionary of Writers of Gdańsk Pomerania, covering authorsdirectly related to the area of the Gdańsk Region from 1945-1975. In addition tothe broad bibliography of Pomerania, the Library is also working on a Bibliography of the Kashubia area. So far, 2 volumes have been published in print. The Li-brary?s information bases are subject to constant evaluation and verification. Workis underway to improve the sources in terms of their content and methodology.},
