TY - GEN A1 - Nietrzeba-Marcinonis, Jolanta N2 - The thesis aim was to evaluate the changes in the initial soil properties during the forest reclamation of the post - open mine soil-less grounds in "Turów" Lignite Open Mine, Joint Stock Company. The research included the outer dumping ground with area of ca. 2175 ha. Simultaneously, the argument of the efficiency of that reclamation direction of the specific soil-less grounds for creation of functional soil cover in respect of the environment and cultivation was examined. In order to verify the stated argument, limited, regional and laboratory examination was performed. N2 - In order to characterize the changes in the ground material and in the created landscape of the reclaimed dumping ground within many years, the representative research area were chosen. To the research, seventeen points were chosen in which soil pits were done. Next, from the determined depths, the soil samples were taken for laboratory analyses of the physical as well as physical and chemical properties. Based on the performed analyses it was i. a. found out that, the reclamation method applied in Turów Lignite Mine led to an effective and dynamic soil reproduction. N2 - The course of the soil-creation processes is dynamic which was reflected in the morphological changes of the soil profile and of the basic physical and chemical features in the bed-rock, leading finally to its transformation into the forest initial soil with characteristic levels.
