 abstract={The study was conducted on forest and meedow areas located on the border parts of Odra marginal valley in Przedmoście locality of Lower Silesia region. The aim of reasearch was comparative analysis of physical properties of soil and estimating the impact of muck process on organic horizon retention.},
 abstract={Organic horizon were characterized high ash content (26,33-80,27% dm.), specific gravity 1,73-2,33 g cm3, bulk density 0,22-0,68 g cm3, differed water permeability and high level of peat humification. Analysis of pore distribution in the surface layers indicated that the amount macro- and micro-pores increased while the amount of mesopores decreased. These changes were induced by muck process, which decreased the water retention of soil in strongly dried horizons.},
